Providence is calling an Imaging Services Manager (Full time/Day Shift) to Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA.

We are seeking an Imaging Services Manager who will provide superior patient/customer satisfaction. Ensuring the highest quality care and service. Administer the operations of the services of radiology, MRI and Nuclear Medicine, computerized tomography and ultrasound departments in terms of budget, long-range planning, program development, and policy and procedure implementation.

In this position you will:

  • SERVICE:

  • Promote patient, physician, customer and employee satisfaction by personal example, treating all contacts with respect

  • Support and participate in activities that foster customer service

  • Communicate and follow the organizational chain of command for notification of patient care/service issues, when appropriate

  • PEOPLE:

  • Maintain required applicable licensure, certification and education

  • Attend and successfully completes general and department orientation, in-service programs and the annual key competencies and mandatory update requirements

  • Participate actively in department staff meetings

  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communications

  • MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Meet monthly budget target in wage (SWB) and non-wage (OCE), as well as productivity standards, on an ongoing basis

  • Meet contract labor budget with a variance of no more than 5%

  • Complete 100% of staff evaluations on time

  • Meet the established vacancy rate

  • Meet the established turnover rate including 90 day, 1 year, and annual turnover

  • Assure “very good” or “excellent” PSMS scores

  • Assure 100% staff attendance at hospital required classes, including but not limited to, ethics training

  • Initiate peer interviewing in the department for 50% of open positions

  • Demonstrate knowledge of age specific care for the neonate through the geriatric population, including but not limited to identifying the need for additional safety measures, or activities that place patients at risk including demonstration of skills in the use of equipment including its capabilities, limitations and appropriate/special applications. Communicate effectively in a clear, concise, understandable manner. Applicable for the populations Infant, Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric

  • Select, train/orient and assign departments staff (either directly or through subordinate supervisors). Develop standards of performance, evaluate performance, and initiate or make recommendations for personnel actions

  • Direct the preparation and maintenance of department reports. Prepare periodic reports for top management, as required

  • Develop and recommends department operating budget

  • Responsible for assuring process improvement activities are ongoing in the department including the development, trending, and reporting of quality indicators

  • Approve budget for the radiology, computerized tomography and ultrasound departments and monitors and assures adherence to budgetary policies

  • Participate in hospital/medical staff committee meetings as required. Attend and serve on professional/civic service organizations as hospital representative

  • Participate in the evaluation and ordering of capital and routine equipment

  • Resolve conflicts occurring between employees and maintain consistency with regard to hospital policy

  • Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the department/area’s work processes including analysis, recommendations, implementation and evaluation

  • Serve as a catalyst who effectively leads staff in providing high quality, cost efficient imaging services

  • Provide management oversight and monitoring of ETRMC imaging service affiliates e.g. MRI, PET, etc.

  • Demonstrate willingness & ability to float to areas within their scope of practice as necessary

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • BA degree or equivalent education/experience

  • Current BLS-HCP

  • Current LA City Fire Card within 90 days of hire

  • 5 years Acute care clinical experience

  • 5 years Progressive supervisor/management experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Health care or Business Administration

  • Current license as CRT and ARRT
