Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse - Administrative Supervisor in Spokane, Washington


Providence is calling a Registered Nurse – Administrative Supervisor (Nursing Administration, Night, 0.8 FTE) to Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:

The Registered Nurse - Administrative Supervisor is

responsible for overseeing hospital functions related to patient care including

but not limited to patient placement throughout the hospital, overseeing safe

staffing standards for acceptance or transfers of patients, and facilitation of

critical operational functions during the hours where a hospital administrator

is not physically at the hospital. Confers with caregivers, physicians and

other department personnel as necessary to meet the overall clinical and

support needs of patients. Informs the hospital administrator on call of any

situation that may require attention. Manages staffing to provide continuity of

professional nursing care.

Qualified candidates will possess the

following skills; excellent interpersonal skills, self-directed, excellent time

management and problem solving. Evidence of the analytical skills necessary to

solve technical clinical, administrative, or managerial problems.

Evidence of communication skills necessary to interpret hospital policies in

situations requiring persuasion, presentations to hospital senior management,

manage the performance of employees within a large or diverse department, and

other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skills. Work that

was assigned in the form of broad goals or areas of responsibility and requires

incumbent to make many decisions with respect to policies as well as financial

and operating plans. Independent decisions requiring definition of the possible

choices from broad information where the alternatives and implications may be



Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State

  • RN experience in acute care setting

  • Previous nursing leadership (supervisory or managerial) experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate for Healthcare Providers
