Providence Professional Development Generalist - 0.5 FTE/Days in Spokane, Washington
Description:
Providence is calling a Professional Development Generalist (PHC Professional Development, Days, 0.5 FTE) to Providence Health Care Region in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Be expected to serve as an educator/learning facilitator, teaching individuals and groups in a variety of settings including classrooms, online, and in simulation-based activities.
Serve as a team and project leader, a mentor, a change agent, and a champion for quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
Demonstrate competency in a variety of areas that support the roles described above, including:
Ethics
Education
Evidence-based Practice and Research
Quality of Nursing Professional Development Practice
Change Management
Leadership
Collaboration
Professional Practice Evaluation
Resource Utilization
Mentorship/Advancing the Profession
Mission Focused
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field from a nationally accredited program
Current Washington State RN License
National Certification in clinical specialty
Professional Development Practitioner certification within 2 years of hire
5 years recent nursing experience in clinical specialty area appropriate to Professional Development Specialist (PDS) role
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree
2 years educator or faculty role
2 years progressive leadership roles within nursing
