Providence Health & Services Nurse Liaison - East Home Infusion RN in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Nurse Liaison (East Home Infusion RN, Day Shift, Full time) to Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Provides direct nursing services in the form of discharge education and teaching for admitted patients in preparation for transition back to their primary place of residence.
Provides clinical nursing assessments and consultation to help determine appropriateness for home infusion services. Together in collaboration with the RN Clinical Sales Liaison (CSL).
Promotes positive maintenance of existing customer relations and supports progress with new relationships in support of business development efforts for home infusion, as appropriate throughout the assigned hospitals/clinics.
This position functions as a professional role model by demonstrating competency in all phases of the nursing process, works as a reliable team member who openly and actively communicates with CSL partner, and works in collaboration with hospital/facility care teams to promote quality patient care: this may include travel to other area facilities for patient evaluation, education/teaching, and attendance and participation in interdisciplinary meetings as patients move along the care continuum towards discharge.
This position will facilitate occasional direct nursing care in Providence partner clinics, as able and without conflict/restriction to admitted patient discharge planning, in an effort to offer depth of support for complex patients and partnerships. This is accomplished through teamwork with the patient and/or caregiver, the prescribing provider, the RN Clinical Sales Liaison, and the pharmacy Intake team. Work involves assuring appropriate documentation for compliance with facility/agency and statutory guidelines.
Ideal candidate must be available Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
1 year of acute care nursing experience
Current Washington State driver’s license and automobile insurance
Proof of vehicle insurance.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Home health or home infusion experience
Prior sales experience
Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in nursing principles and practice of intravenous therapy (IV)
