Providence is calling a Clinical Consultant (Nursing Administration, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to St Luke's Rehabilitation Institute in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Work under the general direction of the Chief Nurse Officer, provide clinical and technical expertise to the organization to facilitate safe, effective nursing care.
Be responsible for the development and maintenance of programs to achieve core competencies, use of new technology and best industry practices.
Coordinate, implement and evaluate orientation, training, and education of nursing personnel.
Be pleasant, respectful and courteous in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and visitors of the Institute, as well as be a positive representative of the hospital at all times.
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider
Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) Certification within 18 months of entry into role, or as eligible, meeting ARN qualifications
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six (6) months of entry into role
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six (6) months of entry into role
Three (3) years of current Rehabilitation Nursing experience
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
One (1) year of Formal or informal teaching experience
