Providence is calling a Clinic RN - Sherwood Immediate Care (0.9 FTE, Days) to Providence Family Med Sherwood in Sherwood, OR
We are seeking a RN Immediate Care, Non-Contract - Sherwood Immediate Care that will be accountable for the direct and indirect quality care for patients according to the individualized needs of the patient. Follow the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to consistently provide care appropriate to the age of the patient, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Competent in analyzing patient data with an understanding of cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, and spiritual aspects. Accept professional development as an integral part of nursing practice. Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the health care team in a collegial relationship. Apply Today! In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Recognize and respond immediately and appropriately to potentially emergent situations
Utilize effective priority setting skills to balance department resources to meet individual patient needs and optimize department flow
Accurately and thoroughly assess and plan patient care to identify actions prioritized to optimize patient outcomes
Provide and document necessary patient/family education, including discharge teaching, in support of the interdisciplinary treatment plan
Monitor patient condition, notes change in status, utilizes good judgment and takes appropriate action
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
Unencumbered RN License to practice in the state of Oregon
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers (AHA)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute care area
Emergency department or urgent care nursing experience
