Providence Health & Services RN - Transitional Care Unit in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) (Transitional Care, Evening Shift, 0.3 FTE, 12 hrs/week) to Providence Mount St. Vincent in West Seattle, Washington . We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
Evenings from 2pm-10:30pm
In this position you will:
Provide professional, comprehensive nursing care for residents and patients in a skilled nursing and transitional care environment
Be accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to residents and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan
Effectively advocate for ethical and holistic care by partnering in care planning to promote the autonomy, dignity, rights, values and beliefs of those we serve
Foster a learning environment for resident/families, nursing, and other members of the healthcare team including students
Facilitate formal and informal learning for resident/families, nursing, other members of the healthcare team, and community
Lead and coordinate teams, appropriately delegate, coordinate care and collaborate with others as equal members of the inter-professional care team to integrate nursing knowledge

Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (New Hires must obtain within 30 days of hire)
Washington State Food Worker Card (New Hires must obtain within 14 days of hire)
Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Articulate and responsive to colleagues
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
1 year nursing experience in an environment that provides person-directed care
