We are seeking a RN Behavioral Health Quality & Education Program Manager - BH Operations who will support the division of regional behavioral health in aligning regulatory requirements and standardizing best practices across the psychiatric continuum of care and brings a constant focus in achieving quality patient outcomes and safety using innovative and creative methodology. This position ensures the accomplishment of the organization's vision, mission, values, strategic goals, and achieving the Triple Aim while creating a Behavioral Health infrastructure with standardized pathways and processes promoting continuity of care with a personalized patient experience. Responsibilities include providing clinical expertise in the planning, implementing and evaluation of interventions and strategies appropriate to the complexities of the problems and resources of the system. Additional responsibilities include being accountable for policy development and implementation, supporting strategic planning, clinical outcomes, assuring the highest quality patient satisfaction, and facilitating a healthier community. Oversight along the continuum of care includes acute inpatient, emergency departments, partial and intensive outpatient, intake & referral service line, outreach & navigation program, and specialty outpatient clinics. This position serves as a catalyst for professional practice development and performance reflects promotion of team concept, caring, and respect, which emulates the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.
In this position, you will have the following responsibilities:
Enriches an environment of quality, learning and professional development with the integration of clinical practice and education.
Mentor and coach service line leaders on clinical and administrative practices to promote professional growth and development and leadership opportunities.
Defines and implements process improvements on key initiatives that result in significant improvements in service delivery, increasing organizational effectiveness both clinically and financially, increasing the safety of our environment to those providing and receiving care
Ensures standardized system implementation of regulatory requirements for nursing practice as it relates to behavioral health populations ensuring alignment with general practice and in collaboration with other nurse leaders.
Identifies service gaps, develops business plan proformas to support strategic internal and external partnerships to advancement, evolution, and success of Providence behavioral health service lines.
Lead and collaborate with leaders as needed to develop and execute action plans to address safety events, usual occurrence reports, safety issues and trends.
Provides direction to leaders in activities to achieve performance improvement and quality standards for regulatory, accrediting and licensing organizations. Collaborates with leaders on survey preparedness efforts with the goal of constant readiness.
Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates department specific performance and service standards; takes initiative to implement quality improvement efforts.
Ensures all regulatory standards and other operation standards are adhered to and documented.
Identifies strategic education opportunities that address learning needs to improve individual and organizational performance.
Ensures accountability at all levels to achieve top decile performance in patient satisfaction and clinical quality
Advises and engages teams to respond to sentinel events and creating action plans. Supports and ensures timely follow up on action plans and oversight of operation implementation.
Utilizes technology to produce outcome reports, operational workflows, business plans and proformas as well as electronic medical records, policy platform and other applications necessary for performing job functions.
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license
Combination of 5 years direct nursing care in acute and/or sub-acute services and leadership experience that provided the opportunity to manage projects, lead change management, and organize action plans
Excellent skills in building collaborative teams and the ability to develop programs that uses inter-disciplinary approaches efficiently and effectively
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Experience in behavioral health settings. Knowledge of federal and state regulatory standards
