Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Nursing degree/diploma upon hire

  • All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing -or- higher within three (3) years of hire

  • A RN with twenty (20) years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Active Washington Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider),

  • American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), -or-

  • Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire

  • Certifications upon hire (All applicable caregivers need to renew every 2 years)

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN)

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) must be from American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)/American Heart Association (AHA)

  • One (1) year acute care experience working with the patient population similar to Labor And Delivery -or- completion of the specialty residency located at Providence St. Peter Hospital

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • National Certification in Labor And Delivery
