Providence Health & Services Administrative Supervisor - Nursing Administration in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling for an Administrative Supervisor (0.6 FTE, Variable Shift) to work in Nursing Administration Ii at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
Under supervision of the Director, the Administrative Supervisors provide nursing service administration and leadership on all shifts, holiday and weekends to ensure delivery of comprehensive nursing services and quality patient care. The administrative Supervisor acts as a representative of administration and coordinates hospital and department activities on assigned shift.
In this position you will:
Collaborate with managers and charge nurses to coordinate nursing and hospital activities on assigned shift. Apply “system thinking” to identify and develop solutions to problems.
Understand models of patient care unique to each unit and work within this framework to communicate and provide leadership.
Initiate Emergency Preparedness Plan in absence of Administrator on Call.
Knowledge of clinical pathways and other protocols and guidelines.
Demonstrate strong collaboration, leadership and team skills, including the ability to work well with physicians, all disciplines and staff levels
Ability to delegate appropriately.
Demonstrate continuous active learning and develops strategies to achieve growth/improvements.
Assess data relative to age of patient (chronological or cognitive).
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
5 years acute care professional experience (within the last 7 years) with 1 year being in entry level management or supervision
WA State License as a Registered Nurse
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Experience as Administrative Supervisor
