Providence Health & Services Nurse Practitioner Hematology/Oncology in Mission Hills, California

Description:

Under the direction of the Cancer Services manager and in collaboration with the Oncology Program Medical Director, the Oncology Program Nurse Practitioner implements regional service line strategies that ensure quality outcomes, supports the inter-professional care teams and engages physicians in the growth and development of effective oncology services. The Oncology Program Nurse Practitioner coordinates the continuum of care for the diagnosed patient and maintains communication between the primary physician, nursing staff, consulting physician, and ancillary departments. Responsibilities include coordinating this team to best serve the patient, ensuring patients and their families are provided education and information to support the patient during difficult decision-making periods.

Qualifications:

  • CA Medical License RN & NP

  • BLS or ACLS for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association

  • Active DEA License
