RN - Maternity Services Team at Providence Medford Medical Center.
T his is a per diem/on-call position offering varying shifts throughout the week. Our RNs have visibility to shift availability 6 weeks in advance. Schedules are finalized 4 weeks in advance. Our per diem nurses are union members with the Oregon Nurses Association, and are required to pick up a minimum of 48 hours in a 6 week schedule period. This includes 2 holidays per year. You will also earn an additional 15% (of your hourly pay rate) in lieu of benefits pay premium as a per diem Caregiver with Providence.

Providence Medford Medical Center is a Level 3 Trauma Center with 168 licensed beds. Our Birth Place has 8 LDRP with 2 triage rooms and 2 operating rooms. Patient population is 36 weeks and greater. Level 1 OB care and Level 1 newborn care. Hypertension, gestational diabetes, and twins can be managed for greater than 36 weeks gestation. You will only be placed on standby for low census. This is calculated on rotation.

Nursing degree/diploma upon hire
All Registered Nurses (RNs) without a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing must obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher within three (3) years of hire
A RN with (twenty) 20 years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a Bachelor's degree in nursing
Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following:
American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider),
American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Healthcare Provider), -OR-
Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) must be from American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)/American Heart Association (AHA) within three (3) months of hire
One (1) year of acute care experience working with the patient population similar to the Maternity Services -OR- completion of the specialty residency located at Providence Medford Medical Center
