Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Diagnostic Imaging to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, Oregon. This is a full-time, benefited position. Schedule is M-F, days.
In this position, you will:
Provide and supervise professional, independent nursing care for Providence patients that is as evidence-based as possible.
Provide care that is based in the nursing process and is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act.
Apply knowledge of assessing, planning, ordering, giving, delegating, teaching and supervising professional nursing care delivery that promotes patients’ optimal health and independence.
Possess a broad range of general nursing knowledge and expertise, in addition, development and validation of knowledge and skills essential to the assigned department, patient population and/or practice area are crucial.
Participate in and lead clinical teams and may supervise, assign or delegate to licensed practical nurses (LPN’s), certified nursing assistants (CNA’s) and other health care workers.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire
All Registered Nurses (RNs) without a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing must obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher within 3 years of hire.
A RN with 20 years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a Bachelor's degree in nursing
Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon (OSBN)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card at time of hire
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Health Care Provider certification within 6 months of hire
Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Conscious sedation experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
1 year of acute care RN experience
3 years of experience in radiology or comparable field
Certified Radiology Nurse certification
