PRMCE is proud to offer new caregivers an incentive for joining our team. This position offers a $10,000 bonus that will be paid to newly hired RNs with at least one year of experience. The first payment to be paid upon hire, and the second after 12 months.

Expert level clinician with the ability to support and direct patient care. Responsible for overall throughput of patients in a safe, efficient manner while ensuring optimal utilization of resources (including but not limited to staff, equipment and supplies) to meet patient care needs. Position is responsible as a single point of contact for staff, physicians and others for centralized patient placement. Position promotes patient satisfaction as a leader by demonstration of extraordinary service to ensure that quality patient care is delivered in accordance with Providence Health & Service's mission, vision and values. Position functions as administrator on duty to make leadership decisions, provide direction and oversight with operational issues for all hospital departments on behalf of Administration during assigned shift.

In this position you will:

  • Directs patient care services:

  • Assures appropriate placement of patients, monitors care provided on the nursing units and addresses concerns with the staff, charge nurses, supervisors and managers.

  • Assures that staffing is adequate for patient needs.

  • Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials and demonstrated competence.

  • Collaborates with medical staff and professionals:

  • Provides consultation and direction for efficient operation and quality customer service.

  • Serves as an administrative resource to all hospital staff in support of departmental goals and objectives based on hospital philosophy and goals

  • Works to intervene as needed if there are issues or concerns regarding patient care or administrative function.

  • Oversee, enhance and facilitate staff interactions.

  • Investigates concerns and issues:

  • Works collaboratively with staff and others to determine issues and corrective actions related to customer or staff concerns

  • Follows up promptly with appropriate persons and documents as needed.

  • Consults with nursing leadership regarding patient care issues for appropriate follow through

  • Oversees Nurse Staffing

  • Directs and collaborates with staffing office and charge nurses to assure appropriate staffing and efficient use of resources.

  • Monitors and controls available resources, human and material to assure safe delivery of care

  • Keeps clinical and management skills current and relevant through demonstrated involvement in job related training programs and in-services.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • 8 years recent clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting

  • Currently licensed through the State of Washington as a Registered Nurse.

  • Current BLS certification.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in nursing or related field

  • Experience in Emergency or Critical Care

  • Experience in a healthcare leadership or supervisory role

  • Certification in area of specialty.

  • ACLS
