Providence Health & Services RN - Surgical Services - Circulator - Sign On Bonus For External New Hire in Colville, Washington
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator (Surgical Services, Day, 1.0) to Providence Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville, Washington. We are offering a $5,000.00 sign on bonus to the new, external, caregiver hired into this role.
In this position you will:
The Circulating Nurse will be a registered nurse. The Circulating Nurse will be in charge of activities in the OR suite. Circulating Nurse is responsible for the care and safety of the patient during the perioperative period to insure safe care during operative procedures.
The Circulating Nurse/Anesthesia Assistant should be standing by when the anesthesiologist begins induction of anesthesia to assist and ensure patient safety.
Circulating Nurse shall position the patient to avoid any pressure points and maintain good body alignment.
While circulating, the nurse must be able to operate all equipment necessary for the surgery such as tourniquets, cautery, suctions, air equipment, etc.
The circulator is responsible for sponge, needle, and instrument counts as described in "count" procedure.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire
All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) must obtain a BSN or higher within 3 years of hire. RNs with 20 years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a BSN
Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in state(s) of hire, and wherever care is delivered. If RN holds a multistate license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), the RN must adhere to the requirements of licensure in the new state(s) of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate for Healthcare Providers within 30 days of hire
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire
12 months acute care experience working with the patient population similar to department of hire or completion of the specialty residency at Providence Mount Carmel Hospital
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Recent experience in perioperative services
1 year Operating Room experience
