Providence RN - Nurse Family Partnership in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Family Partnership Registered Nurse ( Nurse Family Partnership, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence In-Home Services in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
We are looking for a RN experienced with newborns, Pediatrics and families!
In this position you will:
Possess knowledge of developmental needs and competent in the assessment and treatment as it relates to the age of the patient population served
Conduct and document a comprehensive patient assessment as it related to the NFP domains
Perform home visits in accordance with PI-HS philosophy and the NFP Model Elements and guidelines
Follow nursing process in implementing NFP into care
Provide education, support and referral resources in assisting women and their families in attaining their targeted goals
Consult and collaborate with other professional involved in providing services to women and families
Perform procedures and treatments according to accepted department/unit protocols, guidelines, standards and the Nurse Practice Act
Legibly and electronically documents client care activities and information in an accurate, concise, and timely manner.
Develop and maintain community relationships to support client referrals
Demonstrate advancement of professional nursing practice through continuing education, required training, certification, and participation in department and unit activities
Identify concerns and takes appropriate action(s) to involve colleagues and management in the development and promotion of a safe patient care environment
Participate in bi-weekly team meetings and bi-weekly case conferences
Promote and role models collaborative practice and relationships with other health care professionals
Monitor patient’s condition, notes changes in status, utilizes judgment and takes appropriate action
Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principles and policies of safety and infection control as defined by policy and procedure, National Patient Safety Goals and Emergency Response procedures
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing
Bachelor’s of Nursing (BSN) degree
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
Valid AK Driver’s license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 2 years experience in maternal/child health, public health, home health or mental/behavioral nursing
