Providence Health & Services Clinical RN - St. Vincent in Portland, Oregon


Providence Medical Group is calling Registered Nurse - (0.9 FTE, Days) to our SW Pediatrics Clinic at Mother Joseph Plaza.

This is an exciting opportunity for an RN with previous experience in a pediatrics, urgent care/ER or family medicine environment. This position is a 0.9 FTE with a weekday schedule, full benefits and competitive salary. The team environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and positive.

In this position, you will:

  • Utilize an enhanced level of expertise in the assessment of patient needs, determination of level of care, and implementation of plan appropriate to the situation.

  • Work closely with physicians and all other members of the health system staff, requiring excellent communication, teaching, and negotiating skills with a high expectation of total confidentiality when working with sensitive information.

  • Coordinate and manage clinical activities including workflow in the area by distributing workload assignments, based on patient schedules and phone demands.

  • Apply the knowledge, skills and experience in the provision of care via the telephone.

  • Deliver care in the form of triage, advice, referral, and patient education in the ambulatory care setting.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate from accredited school of Nursing

  • Associate Degree in Nursing

  • Current Oregon state license as a registered nurse in good standing

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providor

  • 5 years of experience in healthcare, 1 of which within an ambulatory healthcare setting

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or related field

  • 1 year of experience in clinical triage/advice

  • Bilingual in Spanish
